Amanda Taylor is in her fourth year as an associate athletic trainer working with the College of Charleston women’s basketball and men’s golf programs as well as insurance coordinator. She is also responsible for overseeing the graduate assistants and interns in the CofC Sports Medicine program.

Taylor earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Western Carolina University in 2006. While at WCU, she worked with several varsity sports teams including Vanderbilt University Football, WCU Track & Field and UNC Asheville Women’s Soccer. Taylor previously worked as a graduate assistant at Clemson University from 2010-12 earning a master's degree in youth development leadership. While at Clemson, she worked with the nationally-ranked women’s track & field program that finished fourth at nationals.

Taylor earned her certification as an athletic trainer in 2010.  She is also a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) as well as the South Carolina Athletic Trainers' Association. Taylor is originally from Bryson City, N.C., where her parents, brother and sister-in-law reside.
